PostHeaderIcon Tips to decorate your bar

The décor of a bar seems like an expensive activity for many and thus there are few people who venture in to it. But it need not be so always. There are ways to decorate your bar and what’s more, you can do it at yourself! People generally use bars to celebrate and enjoy events in life; at least the one at home will be used for that! If you have space that can make for a good bar, be sure to use it as it is a great place for social gatherings and meets. Before you plunge head-on into the process of decorating your bar, consider the area available, your interests, choices and the frequency of using the bar. It is not necessary to have a large area for the bar; you can make a small bar look classy too.

Try decorating your bar as per your choices and interests. If your love a particular sport, you can color your bar in your favorite team’s colors. Use accessories related to the sport as wall hangings on the wall devoted to the bar. Use miniature playing cards or sport accessories to further enhance the look surrounding the bar.

You can also make your bar look cool and green by using pot plants to decorate the seating area, bar stools and shelves holding bottles. There are various other options that can be used as decorative articles like miniature animals, paintings, mugs, lamps, attractive glasses etc. A very common but effective form of decoration is using collectibles and souvenirs to decorate the wall behind the bar. You can use shelves to do the same in case you do not want to put up wall hangings. Attractive tiles with or without themes make for a good view. You can use photographs from travel or your family pictures to decorate the edges of the bar platform.

The lighting need not be very bright except for photographs where you can use spotlights or picture lights. For the rest of the bar, use dim, smoky or misty lighting. The seating arrangements for the bar can include bar stools (as mentioned earlier), lounge chairs or a comfortable couch. You can use other décor articles like paintings, mirrors, tapestries etc to decorate the bar area. Other accessories can include a small refrigerator, a flat television on the wall, beer mugs, glasses, special stem glasses for wine, a mini sink that can help you clean quickly incase of leaks or spills, bottle racks, bottle display stands among other innovative accessories you may come up with.

Bottles of wine are a good way to enhance the look of the bar. They can be closely arranged with a combination of red and white wine placed together using a wine lattice. Glass pyramids also look truly classy, although they are a bit difficult to manage. There are some typical wood types available, oak being the most common to build a bar. The bar top can be made of stone or marble or granite.

Now that there are numerous ideas, start making plans to design that perfect bar and enjoy gatherings or a quiet conversation or whatever else you may like to do!
